Taylor a Finalist for Canada U-20 Player of the Year

EUGENE, Ore. —Duck freshman Hannah Taylor has been named one of six finalists for Canada Soccer Women's U-20 Player of the Year.
Other finalists include Gabrielle Carle of Florida State, Jessie Fleming of UCLA, Julia Grosso of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite, Deanne Rose of Florida and Sarah Stratigakis of Michigan. The winner will be announced on Dec. 12.
Taylor, a defender from Edmonds, Wash., who holds dual U.S.-Canadian citizenship, has made three appearances with the Canadian National Team. She played on the U-20 Women's National Team for the three nations tournament in Australia in 2017.
In 2016, she played with the Canadian U-17 National Team in Jordan for the World Cup and in China on the Four Nations Tour, when she was nominated as the 2016 Canada Soccer Women's U-17 Player of the Year.
Taylor played in just one match for the Ducks this fall (Kansas State, Aug. 20), before an injury sidelined her for the season. Taylor will get a medical redshirt for 2017 and will be a redshirt freshman for the Ducks in 2018.
