The Ducks will play five games at Jane Sanders Stadium this weekend as part of the Oregon Invitational.
EUGENE, Ore. - The No. 4 ranked Oregon softball team will play its first home games of the season this weekend at the Oregon Invitational.

After four weekends on the road, the Ducks will host a non-conference invitational at Jane Sanders Stadium this weekend. Hofstra, Pacific and Idaho State will be in town with nine total games over three days. The Ducks will play at 3 PM and 5:30 PM on both Friday and Saturday plus one game at 10 AM on Sunday.
LONGEST WINNING STREAK
With an 8-2 victory against Stephen F. Austin last weekend at the Mizzou Tournament, the Ducks set a new program record for consuective wins at 19. Oregon won 18 straight games last season, which matched the previous. The Ducks also won 18 straight games in 2007.
LAST WEEKEND
Oregon went 5-0 over the weekend at the Mizzou Tournament, which included two games against No. 24 ranked Missouri.
- The Ducks opened the tournament with a massive 14-0 run-rule win over Maryland. The Terrapins, which previously defeated No. 1 Florida this season, mustered just two hits against freshman RHP Miranda Elish, who picked up the win. Oregon's bats cranked out 18 hits, including homers by C April Utecht and OF Shannon Rhodes.
- Oregon then played its first of two games against No. 24 Missouri in the Tiger's brand new Mizzou Stadium. C Gwen Svekis hit the first homer in the new park, a two-run shot in the first inning as the Ducks won, 10-3. RHP Maggie Balint picked up the win after allowing three runs on five hits in 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts.
- In the Ducks' second meeting with Missouri, Oregon again scored first and went on to win, 7-2. 2B Lauren Lindvall homered for the Ducks and drove in four runs while Danica Mercado went 3-for-4. RHP Megan Kleist tossed a complete game with runs allowed on five hits and five walks.
- Oregon blanked Butler, 8-0, in five innings in the fourth game of the weekend. 3B Jenna Lilley homered for the Ducks while 1B Mia Camuso went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. RHP Maggie Balint picked up her ninth win of the season after allowing just two hits in five innings with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
- The Ducks closed out the weekend with an 8-2 win over Stephen F. Austin. C Gwen Svekis homered and drove in four runs while RHP Miranda Elish earned the win with one runs allowed on two hits in five innings.
MACK'S BIG WEEKEND
OF Alexis Mack was named Pac-12 player of the week after tearing up the pitching at the Mizzou Tournament. The sophomore hit .765 (13-for-17) with nine runs, four RBIs, two triples and a double in just five games. Her batting average jumped to .509 after the weekend.
ELISH NAMED FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
RHP Miranda Elish picked up her first Pac-12 freshman of the week award after going 2-0 at the Mizzou Tournament. Elish allowed just one run on four hits in 11.2 innings with nine strikeouts.
STRIKEOUT-TO-WALK RATIOS
Oregon's young pitching staff has racked up the strikeouts this season without allowing many free passes.
- Freshman RHP Maggie Balint has 73 strikeouts this season compared to just nine walks, an 8.1-to-1 ratio.
- Sophomore RHP Megan Kleist has 40 strikeouts and just 11 walks, a 3.6-to-1 ratio.
- Freshman RHP Miranda Elish has 26 strikeouts but only ninr walks for a 2.9-to-1 ratio.
