Curran Called Up for Second Stint with U.S. U-18 National Team

CHICAGO — For the second time this year, Oregon midfielder Chardonnay Curran has been called up to the U.S. U-18 National Team.

Curran, a freshman from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, will join the Americans for two matches against Switzerland's U-18 national team. The two teams will meet Saturday at 7 a.m. Pacific at Stadium Hessgut-Liebefeld in Köniz. The teams will play again on April 10 at 4 a.m. Pacific at Tissot Arena in Biel.

Curran was with the U-18 National Team last month when the Americans played a pair of friendly matches versus the French National Team in France, which is where the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be played in August.

Curran appeared in all 18 matches with 14 starts for the Ducks last fall. She had a goal and two assists in her first season as a Duck.

Meanwhile, Curran's Oregon teammates opened spring camp on Monday. The team will train for two weeks before opening the spring season April 14 at Oregon State.
