Eddy Named Pac-12 Player of the Week
09/04/18 | Women's Soccer
EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon junior forward Emma Eddy was named Pac-12 offensive player of the week on Tuesday after scoring three goals over the past weekend to lead the Ducks to victories over Dartmouth and Gonzaga.
Eddy scored the second goal of the Ducks' 2-0 win against the Big Green and had both scores in Oregon's 2-0 win over Gonzaga.
With five goals on the season, the Eugene, Ore., native ranks second in the Pac-12 and is tied for 10th nationally in total goals scored.
Eddy became just the fifth Duck in program history to score a goal in three consecutive games. She joined a couple of UO Hall of Famers on that list - Nicole Garbin and Michele Potestio - as well as Erin Anderson and Jen Stoltenberg, the last Duck to score in three straight matches (2010).
Junior Alyssa Hinojosa was nominated for defensive player of the week, while senior Halla Hinriksdottir was nominated for goalkeeper of the week.
The UO soccer team will return to action Sept. 14 at Portland.
