In addition to eight wins, the Ducks registered 12 top-10 program marks last weekend.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon Track and Field team closed out its January schedule with eight wins and 12 top-10 program marks from a split weekend at the Texas Tech Open & Multis in Lubbock, Texas, and the UW Invitational in Seattle.
On the heels of their standout weekend, the UO women are up nine spots to No. 5 in the latest national rankings. Additionally, the UO men are into the top 25 this week as the No. 22 team in the country.
Jorinde Van Klinken, a winner at Texas Tech, improved her own school record and lengthened her NCAA lead (18.55m/60-10.5) in the shot put. The winner's circle at the Texas Tech Open & Multis also included Micah Williams in the 60 meters, Aaliyah McCormick in the 60 hurdles and Lexi Ellis in the triple jump.
In Seattle, the Men and Women of Oregon swept the distance-medley relays while Elliott Cook and Izzy Thornton-Bott—back from DMR legs—picked up individual wins in the 800 and mile, respectively. Both turned in lifetime bests and top-10 UO marks in victory.
