THIS WEEK
Oregon visits Pacific on Thursday (4:00 p.m., ESPN+) before heading to Berkeley for a weekend series at California beginning on Friday.
BUNKER HITS TOP 5 MARK
Over the weekend against Arizona, Allee Bunker became the only player in program history ranked in the UO career top five in hits, doubles, runs and RBI. She's now third in hits (269), second in 2B (45) and fifth in runs (157) and RBI (156).
BUNKER 16TH OVERALL WPF PICK
Allee Bunker was selected 16th overall by the USSSA Pride in the 2023 Women's Professional Fastpitch draft. Bunker is the 19th Duck to be drafted professionally and the first since three Ducks, including No. 3 overall pick Gwen Svekis, were drafted in 2018. (3rd overall), DJ Sanders (21st overall) and Jenna Lilley (22nd overall) were selected in the now-defunct National Pro Fastpitch league draft.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
9- Oregon is on a season-best 9-game winning streak. The Ducks' pitching staff has a 0.97 ERA in that span.
2016 - Oregon swept both Arizona and Arizona State for the first time since 2016.
17 - Stevie Hansen has won 17 games in 2023 - four more than she won as a freshman last year - and ranks second in the Pac-12.
.516 - Kai Luschar is batting .516 (16-of-31) since being cleared to resume hitting on April 1 and has scored 17 runs.
DUCKS IN THE POLLS
Oregon currently sits at No. 14 in the NFCA Coaches' Poll and No. 13 in the ESPN/USA Softball Poll. It is Oregon's 51st consecutive appearance in the polls, dating back to the 2020 preseason poll.
STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE
The Ducks are currently 8-4 vs. 2022 WCWS teams, and 19-10 against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year. Last season, Oregon played the second-most difficult schedule in the nation. In 2023, the Ducks played six of the eight teams that reached the 2022 Women's College World Series – Florida, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Oregon State and UCLA. In all, Oregon had 29 games against teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament a year ago. In addition to the six WCWS teams, the Ducks' 2023 opponents who played in the 2022 NCAA Tournament are Wisconsin, Ole Miss, LMU, San Diego State, Fullerton, Missouri, Minnesota, Arizona State, Washington and Stanford.
RESERVED SEASON TICKETS SELL OUT
Oregon sold out of reserved season tickets for the 2023 season on Jan. 17 - a full two months prior to the March 17 home opener with Stanford. Single-game reserved tickets are nearly gone for the Ducks' final home series versus Utah. Less than 10 tickets are left for each game (May 5-6-7). General admission single-game tickets for all games also remain on sale (www.goducks.com/tickets).
SCOTT SHINES
Morgan Scott has thrown complete game wins against four different Pac-12 schools this season. She shutout both No. 3 UCLA (3-0) and Arizona (8-0) and allowed an unearned run against No. 7 Stanford (2-1) and yielded just one earned run against Arizona State (5-2). Scott has won eight of her last nine decisions. She is also second in the Pac-12 in fewest walks per seven innings (1.19).
BUNKER REACHES TOP 3 IN CAREER HITS AND DOUBLES
Allee Bunker has moved into the UO career top three in both hits and doubles. She passed Nikki Udria - now assistant coach Nikki Ragin - (2014-17) for third in hits and now shows 269. Courtney Ceo (2011-14) is second with 288. Bunker has also passed Janie (Takeda) Reed (2012-15) for second in career doubles wand now shows 45. Jenna Lilly (2015-18) is the school record holder with 52. She is also fifth in career RBI (156) and career runs (157)
BUNKER TOUGH TO K
Allee Bunker has only struck out six times this season (and only once in Pac-12 play). She hasn't been stuck out since March 11 at Washington. That's a string of 20 games/72 plate appearances without a strikeout.
McGOWAN No. 1 C IN POWER RANKINGS
Terra McGowan claimed the top spot for catchers D1 Softball's Week 5 Player Power Rankings (March 14). The redshirt senior has already set career-highs in home runs (10) and RBI (37). McGowan has also thrown out nine runners this season.
