EUGENE, Ore. – The ITA Northwest Regionals are up next for the Oregon women's tennis team, with the annual event kicking off Friday at Hellman Tennis Complex in Berkley, Calif.
Â
Friday will feature the round of 64 in doubles before singles action gets underway on Saturday. Oregon will begin doubles play at 9 a.m., with Tilde Jagare and Olivia Symons taking on Portland's duo of Lexie Flores and Alaia Rubio Perez. Also at the same time, Marjorie Souza and Julia Visaya will match up against Kelly Arends and Leandra Nizetic of Eastern Washington with a spot in the round of 32 on the line.
Â
Candela Aparisi and Karin Young earned a first-round bye and will begin their tournament on Saturday at 9 a.m. against either UC Davis' Maya Youssef and Penelope Wong or Gonzaga's Brooke Bittner and Norhan Hesham.
Â
Aparisi, Souza and Young will also be competing in the singles bracket. Young will face off against Lou Baudouin from Sacramento State at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the round of 64. Aparisi and Souza, whose opponents are yet to be determined, will begin play at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively.

Â
Jagare and Symons won two of three doubles matches while in Colorado. Aparisi and Young posted a combined 10 doubles wins to lead the Ducks when paired together last season.
