Ducks Score Three Second Half Goals in Tie
09/28/25 | Women's Soccer
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Oregon rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to tie Indiana, 3-3, Sunday at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
The Ducks (2-8-3, 0-3-2) scored three goals in a nine minute span midway through the second half to take a 3-1 lead. But the Hoosiers (3-4-4, 0-2-3) answered with goals in the 69th and 84th minute to pull even as there were five goals scored in the second half.
"Happy to get a few goals and a point on the road, but frustrating to not close out the game the way needed to," said coach Tracy Joyner. "Sunday games are all about mentality. We didn't bring it in the first 45 but found it for a stretch in the second half."
How It Happened: Down a goal at halftime, the Ducks went on the attack after the break and tied the game, 1-1, in the 54th minute.
Addisen Boyer clanged a shot off the crossbar. The ball deflected to Kenny, who attempted a shot of her own that was blocked by an Indiana defender. Kenny pounced on the rebound and her second shot found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
Less than five minutes later, Taylor Bryan and Kenny set up Holley for her first goal of the season. Bryan slid a ball through traffic up the middle to Kenny at the top of the penalty area. Kenny then dropped a ball to the right side that Holley one-timed off the far post and into the net for a 2-1 lead.
Bloom added a third goal for Oregon in the 64th minute. Carly Cormack attempted a shot from the top of the box that was blocked. She collected the rebound and passed the ball to Abella Hunter who was making a run on the left side. Hunter crossed the ball into Carys Hall, who flicked the ball to Bloom on the right side. Bloom then finished from five yards out with her second goal of the season.
After Indiana closed to 3-2, Holley preserved the lead momentarily when she cleared a ball off the goal line in the 80th minute. But the Hoosiers tied the game at 3-3 four minutes later and neither team scored in the final six minutes.
Notable: Holley became the eighth different Duck to score a goal this season on what was her third career goal … Kenny recorded the third goal and fourth assist of her career … It was the first time in her career that she had a goal and an assist in the same game … Hunter's assist was the first of her career … Playing in her 75th career game, Bryan recorded her first assist of the fall and first overall since the 2023 season when she was at Virginia Tech … Hall's assist was her second career and first as a Duck … Bryan, Hunter and Kenny each attempted three shots … It was the most goals scored by Oregon since putting up three at Hawai'I on Aug. 24.
Up Next: Oregon will play four of its final six games at home. That stretch begins Friday against USC (1 p.m., B1G+).
