Joins Ducks as a freshman in 2007-08 as one of the most explosive jumps and hurdle talents on the collegiate scene. Was a Pan Am Junior, U.S. Junior, Junior Olympic and Nike Indoor National champion in the long jump the past two seasons. As senior, ranked top five nationally among preps in 2007 in the 300m hurdles (second, 41.08), 400m hurdles (fifth, 58.66), long jump (second, 20-8 1/2 / 20-11 3/4w) and triple jump (second, 42-2 3/4-indoors / 42-1 3/4w)
Prep: Won 2007 Junior Pan American title in the long jump (21-0, w:0.9) less than a month after she won the USA Junior Championships long jump (20-8 1/2, w:2.0), and took fourth in 400m hurdles (58.72, 58.66-p). Added win during the summer in the Junior Olympics long jump (19-4 1/4, w:0.4) and ran on third-place relays in the 4x100m (46.27) and 4x400m (3:49.52). Earlier in season, won the Golden West Invitational 300m hurdles (42.23) and long jump (20-3w, w:3.8) and Nike Indoor Nationals (long jump, first, 19-8 1/4; triple jump, first, 42-2 3/4; 60m hurdles, 12th, 8.87). As a junior, won national titles in the 2006 USATF Junior Olympic Championships long jump (20-1 1/2, w:-0.2) and triple jump (41-4 1/2, w:-1.5) and AAU Junior Olympics triple jump (40-6 1/4) and 400m hurdles (59.71). At the end of the '06 season, she ranked top eight nationally in the 300m hurdles (fifth, 41.72), 400m hurdles (eighth, 59.71) and triple jump (sixth, 41-4 3/4). In the California state championships, she placed top six as a senior in the 300m hurdles (first, 41.08), long jump (first, 20-11 3/4w, w:2.9), triple jump (third, 42-1 3/4w, w:5.4) and 4x100m (sixth, 47.13) and as a junior in the 300m hurdles (second, 41.72), triple jump (third, 41-4 3/4) and 100m hurdles (sixth, 14.61, w:-1.7). Also competed in the state meet as a sophomore in the 300m hurdles (third, 42.91) and triple jump (sixth, 38-11) and freshman (triple jump, 12th, 37-0 1/4, w:-2.1; 100m hurdles, 14th, 14.93/15.02. High School: Hercules ’07.
