Student Athlete of the Week - March 31 - April 6

Phil Alexander has been named the GoDucks.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 31 - April 6.
Alexander, a senior from Keizer, Oregon, helped lead the men's track team to victory in the four-team Pepsi Invitational this past Saturday at Hayward Field. Alexander, who has already posted regional qualifying standards this season in the 100 and 200 meters, added a third qualifying mark with a personal-best 47.13 in route to a win in the 400 meters. He returned later in the day to set a Pepsi Invitational record in the 200 meters, winning in another PR of 20.74. Alexander also ran the third leg on the winning 4X100 relay and the second leg on the victorious 4X400 relay.
Alexander and the rest of the Ducks' track team will take next weekend off before returning to competition on April 19, where the men will host UCLA in their first dual-meet matchup since 1984, while the women will travel to the Mt. SAC Relays.
