2008-09: Did not compete.
2007-08: Was one of team’s most improved runners during his first collegiate cross country season. Raced twice and scored as its fifth finisher in each race ? the Mike Hodges Invitational and Beaver Classic. Also raced the Sunriver Open unattached. Did not compete during the spring. Named Pac-10 Cross Country All-Academic first team.
2006-07: Redshirted track and cross country seasons. Outdoors on track, raced 1,500 meters twice unattached in local meets, and lowered personal best by more than six seconds by end of season. In fall, competed unattached in two cross country races, the Willamette Invitational and Mike Hodges Invitational. Season Bests: 1,500 Meters - 3:58.87 (PR), Oregon Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/20/07).
Prep: Placed fourth in the in the 2005 Oregon 4A state cross country championships and led Franklin High School to a 12th-place finish. Also the district cross country champion as a senior. State championships qualifier in the 4x400 meter relay as a sophomore (16th, 3:32.04). Four-year letterwinner in track and twice honored in cross country. High School Bests: 800 Meters - 1:58.6 (2005); 1,500 Meters - 4:05.04 (2005); 3,000 Meters - 9:01 (2006).
