Career Notes: Ranks first in school history for goalkeeper wins (25), shutouts (16), goals against average (1.51) and third in saves (253) … Has three of the top six goals goals allowed seasons in school history.
2009 (Senior): Started all seven matches she played in after rejoining the team on Oct. 15 … Went 0-6-0 in those contests … Faced 69 shots in playing 544 minutes in goal … Recorded 20 saves while allowing 15 goals (2.48 GAA).
2008 (Redshirt): Redshirt season after suffering season-ending right knee injury (torn ACL) in July.
2007 (Junior): Started all 20 games at goalkeeper, playing a school-record 1,862 minutes in net. Had 8-8-3 record. Ranked second in the Pac-10 with 76 saves and ninth with a 1.40 goals allowed average, which ranked second only to her school record 0.82 from 2006. Had four shutouts on the season. Had seven five-plus save games. Opened season with back-to-back shutouts of Nevada (1-0) and Boise State (3-0). Made six saves in a 1-0 loss to eventuall NCAA national champion USC. Had five stops in 1-0 victory against Arizona State. Registered nine saves in 1-1 tie at Washington State. matched career high with 12 saves in 0-0 tie with No. 5 Stanford. Named to the Pac-10 all-academic first team and the the CoSIDA District 8 all-academic third team.
2006 (Sophomore): Despite missing five games with a broken right hand, set school record with a 0.82 goals against average and posted a 6-1-2 mark in Pac-10 games. Was sixth in the league in goals against average and fourth in both save percentage (.824) and saves per game (4.07). After getting off to an 0-3 start, went 8-2-2 in her last 12 games. Made season-high nine saves in 1-0 loss at UC Riverside. Shut out New Hampshire 1-0 on only two saves, but suffered a broken hand late in that contest which sidelined her for the next five. Came back to shut out Portland State 1-0 in double overtime (two saves). Blanked Arizona State 1-0 on a pair of saves. Played both Washington State and California to scoreless draws; had six stops versus the Cougars and four against Cal. Blanking of the Golden Bears gave her the school record for career shutouts with her 12th. Simply brilliant in 2-1 victory over No. 3 UCLA where she made three saves and the Bruins’ lone score was an own goal. Had four stops in season-ending 3-1 win over USC. Named to the CoSIDA District 8 all-academic second team and Pac-10 all-academic first team. Voted the team’s most inspirational player following her comeback from injury. Won the 2006 Oregon club championship with Oregon United Soccer Academy (OUSA), playing with UO teammates Nicole Dobrzynski, Darcie Gardner, Adriana Montes, Allison Newton and Rianna Mansfield.
2005 (Freshman): Earned Pac-10 all-freshman and all-Pac-10 honorable mention honors following a rookie campaign that saw her set a school season record with seven shutouts. Started all 19 games in net and tied a school record with nine wins. Ranked second in the Pac-10 in saves per game (5.05), tied for fifth in shutouts with seven and 10th in goals against average (1.71). Her 96 saves ranked sixth on the UO single-season list. Also established UO records by recording three consecutive shutouts and forged the longest scoreless streak ever at Oregon, going 355:47 over the course of five games in September without allowing a goal. Opened the season with shutouts of Eastern Washington (1-0) and Louisiana State (2-0) to earn defensive MVP of the Oregon Classic. Held three consecutive opponents scoreless in mid-September, blanking Elon 2-0, North Carolina State 1-0 and South Dakota State 2-0. Earned Pac-10 player of the week honors following that run of games. Got another pair of wins against Nevada (2-1) and Wyoming (1-0) to earn MVP honors at the UniWyo Shootout. Made 11 saves in a tough 2-1 loss to USC. Stopped nine shots in Oregon’s 1-0 victory against Washington that was the Ducks’ first-ever win over the Huskies. Made season-high 12 saves against California, which ranks fifth on the Oregon single-game list.
High School/Club: Two-time team captain led Churchill High School to the 2002 Midwestern League title along with fellow signee Allison Newton. Was all-MWL second team and team MVP as a senior. Four-time state tournament qualifier. Played for Oregon United Soccer Academy (OUSA) club that won the 2004 and 2006 state titles (plus four consecutive trips to the final four) and the 2003 Beaverton Cup. Also ran track for two years at Churchill and was a member of the cheer squad. Class valedictorian and National Honor Society member with a 4.0 GPA.
Personal: Born Jessie Wilson Chatfield on May 8, 1987, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Parents are Steven Chatfield and Jane Wilson. One brother. Mother played basketball at Clark University. Father is a professor at UO. Member of local knitting and crochet club. Majoring in mathematics with a minor in Spanish. Recipient of UO Dean’s scholarship. Is also the head girl's soccer coach at Eugene's Churchill High School.
