12/06/18 | Women's Soccer
EUGENE, Ore. — Junior forward Jessica Yu was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America first team on Thursday, becoming just the second player in program history to earn that national honor.
Yu was selected as one of four forwards on the first team. She holds a 4.02 grade point average and is majoring in accounting. The Sunnyvale, Calif., native was the only player from the Pac-12 chosen for the first team.
Yu appeared in 17 matches for the Ducks, who posted their best season in a decade with a 9-9-1 record. She had one assist and attempted 11 shots in 2018.
Yu is just the second Academic All-American in the Duck soccer program's history, joining midfielder Caitlin Gamble, who was a first team selection in 2005 and a third team pick in 2003.
