PERSONAL ? Born Terrell Jevon Jackson on March 20, 1986 in Carson, Calif. Parents: Johnny and Mary Jackson. Family: One
sister. High School (Coach): Corona Centennial (Matt Logan) 2004. Major: Pre-Business Administration. Redshirt: 2004.
HIGH SCHOOL ? The SuperPrep and PrepStar All-American was ranked among the top 15 running backs in the country as well as one of the top two from California. The state’s 17th-rated prep prospect and Long Beach Press-Telegram Best in the West honorable mention candidate was named on more ballots connected with the latter newspaper’s elite poll than any other back. Averaged 7.9 yards per carry (2,664 yards) and a section-leading 204.9 yards per game. Ran for 40 touchdowns his senior season as well as caught 23 passes for 245 yards and three TDs to pace the Inland Empire in scoring (20.3 ppg). The Tacoma News Tribune Western One-hundred choice was named to the all-CIF Southern Section first team following a junior year in which he ran for 2,344 yards (7.3-yard avg. per carry) and 44 touchdowns before duplicating the all-CIF honor again in 2003.
OREGON ? Hopes to benefit from revamped offense after experience in similar scheme in high school. The program’s strongest running back possesses superior quickness and good vision to compensate for unproven breakaway speed. Quick feet allow for above average
acceleration and aids in elusive style. Learned to run with a lower pad level in the spring, which has added an element of power to his step.
2004 ? The redshirt freshman earned plaudits as a scout team performer for preparations leading up to games against Oklahoma, Arizona and California. Led all rushers in two of the four spring scrimmages, including 56 yards on nine carries in the Spring Game in addition to a 10-yard scoring run.
