Summer 2024: U.S. Olympic Trials finalist (1500m) … lowered lifetime best to 3:33.84 in the U.S. Trials final … moved to No. 2 on the Oregon top-10 list … clocked times of 3:37.78 in the opening round and 3:34.52 in the semifinals … competed in international meets with times of 2:18.11 for 1,000 meters at the FBK Games in The Netherlands and 3:37.61 for 1500 meters at the Sotteville Meeting in France.
2023-24: Indoor – Finished second in the mile at the BU Season Opener in December … posted time of 3:55.50 to finish first among collegians in the field … lone meet of the indoor season. Outdoor – NCAA runner-up (1500m) … two-time Pac-12 champion (800m, 1500m) … became the second man in Pac-12 history to complete the 800-1500 double in the same year, and first since Bernard Lagat (Washington State) in 1998 … second Pac-12 title in the 800 meters (2022) … became the fifth UO man with at least two Pac-12 titles in the 800, joining David Mack (1980-82), Joaquim Cruz (1983-84), Andrew Wheating (2008-10) and Elijah Greer (2012-13) … clocked an outdoor best of 1:47.01 in second-place finish over 800 meters at the Oregon Relays … helped the UO men to a runner-up finish in the 4x800 relay at the Penn Relays (7:15.46); split 1:47.72 on the third leg … ran a 4:00.69 split on the anchor leg of the DMR also at the Penn Relays; team finished fourth … added a runner-up finish in the top second of the 800 meters (1:47.91) at the Stanford Invitational … ran 3:38.55 in the 1500 meters at the Bryan Clay Invite, good for 11th overall and eighth among collegiate entries … opened the year with wins in the 800 and 1500 at the Oregon Preview.
2022-23: Indoor – NCAA Championships qualifier (mile)…became the No. 7 performer in UO history in the mile with a 3:55.34 at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational; finished 10th overall in the field and sixth among collegians…moved from sixth to fourth on the program’s all-time list in the 800 with a 1:46.93 at the UW Invitational; one of two wins (DMR) at the meet…approached his 800-meter best at the Ken Shannon Invite (1:47.01)…finished seventh at the NCAA Championships in the mile, clocking a time of 4:04.27 in the final…qualified ninth overall with a 4:03.32 in the prelims of the meet. Outdoor – competed unattached…season bests of 1:46.98 at the Portland Track Festival and 3:38.12 at the USATF LA Grand Prix…ran 3:39.09 in the first round of the 1500 meters at the USA Championships; was eighth in his heat.
2021-22: Indoor – clocked a time of 3:59.02 at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 29) for the first sub-4:00 mile of his career; finished third among collegians and fourth overall…became the 28th man in program history to eclipse the barrier indoors…moved to No. 6 on the UO 800-meter list with time of 1:47.95 at the Windy City Invitational…also ran the 400-meter leg of DMR that ran a season-best 9:34.70 and won at Chicago meet…runner-up in the 800 (1:48.71) at the BU Last Chance. Outdoor – NCAA Championships qualifier (1500 meters)…NCAA West Preliminary qualifier (800, 1500)…Pac-12 champion (800)…lowered his lifetime best to 1:48.81 to win the conference title; also finished fourth (3:40.98) in the 1500 meters at the Pac-12 meet…advanced to the national meet with consecutive times of 3:40.80 and 3:38.92 at the NCAA West Preliminary; time in the quarterfinal round established a personal best…finished 21st overall (3:44.47) at the NCAA Championships…opened the outdoor campaign with times of 1:48.92 and 3:41.23 at the Hayward Premiere and Oregon Relays, respectively.
2020-21: Indoor – Did not compete. Outdoor – NCAA West Preliminary qualifier (800 meters)...made UO debut with a time of 1:51.28, finished ninth at the Hayward Premiere…lowered mark to 1:49.88 at West Coast Classic; runner-up finish…completed first collegiate 1500 in 3:47.28 and finished second at Oregon Relays…established a season best of 1:49.53 in the 800 meters at the Portland Distance Carnival…posted a time of 1:50.48 in the opening round of the NCAA West Preliminary in College Station, Texas.
Before Oregon: 2020 Ohio state indoor champion at 1600 meters…finished fifth at the 2018 OHSAA D1 State Championships in the 1600 meters…four-time OHSAA D1 Central District champion…back-to-back district champion in cross country (2018, ’19)…won district titles at 800 meters in 2019 and 1600 meters in 2018…finished in 11th place at the 2018 OHSAA D1 State Cross Country Championships…pair of top-10 finishes at the Nike Cross Midwest Regional Championships; sixth in 2017 and 10th in 2019…posted prep bests of 1:51.66 (800m) and 4:13.10 (1600m).
