High School: Led Monte Vista High School to the 2003 and 2005 North Coast Section championships. Named to the 2005 NSCAA adidas all-region team. Top scorer in the East Bay Athletic League for three years in a row. Three-time all-EBAL first team. Also ran track for Monte Vista. Was the senior class president and a member of the honor roll. Played club ball for the Mustang Roadrunners, who advanced to the 2005 club state cup finals. Named the 2005 Cal High Sports scholar-athlete of the year
Personal: Born Melissa Ann Buich on February 28, 1988 in Berkeley, Calif, Parents are Michael and Yvette Buich. Two younger sisters. Interests are wake boarding, reading and snow boarding. Major is pre-business administration.
