GREENVILLE, S.C. – Zoe Hasenauer's long-range goal in the 86^th minute lifted Oregon to a 3-2 victory over Furman Sunday at Stone Stadium.

Oregon (3-1-2) led 2-0 just 10 minutes into the game, but Furman (4-2) answered with goals in both halves to tie the game at 2-2 before Hasenauer's late heroics.

"Zoe played lights out and was determined to get the win today," said Oregon coach Kat Mertz. "Furman is a tough team and will do good things this year."

How It Happened: The Ducks built an early 2-0 lead on goals from Jordan Wormdahl and Ally Cook.

In the sixth minute, Sakura Yoshida lifted a cross to Wormdahl, who headed the ball in from eight yards out for a 1-0 lead. It was Wormdahl's sixth goal of the season as the North Eugene High alum continued her torrid early season scoring pace.

Just four minutes later, Yoshida connected with Cook, who also headed home a cross, as Oregon built its lead to 2-0.

Then the Paladins began their comeback with a goal from Kyndal Anderson in the 45^th minute that cut the Ducks' lead to 2-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Erin Houlihan scored the equalizer for Furman on a header in the 67^th minute.

That set the stage for Hasenauer, who dribbled the ball down the middle of the field before unleashing a strike from 30 yards out that found the left side of the net.

Who Stood Out: Yoshida showcased her playmaking skills with assists on Oregon's first two goals. She now has three assists on the season.

What It Means: A successful cross-country trip has Oregon headed back to the West Coast with today's win as well as a 1-1 tie at No. 19 Clemson on Friday.

Notable: Oregon's 15 goals through the first six games are the most scored by the Ducks since 1997. That team also scored 15 times in its first six matches … Cook and Hasenauer both scored for the second time this season … The Ducks started four freshmen on Sunday: Cook, Yoshida, Caitlin Shaw and Croix Soto … Sunday's win was the 99^th career coaching victory for Kat Mertz.
