Could return for fifth and final season with eligibility in cross country and indoor track and field. Outdoors in 2003, shifted focus primarily to middle distances and steeplechase after earning Pac-10 invite also in the 400 hurdles as a sophomore in 2002. Team's second-fastest returning 800 runner (2:12.56) with indoor eligibility. All-time for Oregon, ranks third in steeplechase (10:57.72) and 12th in 400 hurdles (61.51).
2002-03: Pac-10 & Regional Qualifier (Steeplechase). Stood as team's top finisher in West Regional (25th overall/8th heat, 11:04.46) And Pac-10 Championships (ninth, 11:10.15). Clocked 10-second personal best in Oregon Invitational (10th-twilight section, 10:57.72) in the second of her four races over the barriers. Altogether competed in eight outdoor contests (steeple-4; 800-3; 1,500-1). Ran sub-2:15 in two of her three 800 races - Pepsi Team Invite (eighth, 2:14.65) and Oregon Twilight (fourth, 2:14.68). Ran lone 1,500 and her collegiate event debut campaign in Oregon Preview (third, 4:45.18). In fall, continued to mature on cross country wilds, and ran in five races. Scored for Ducks in Willamette Invite (58th, 18:57), and ranked top seven in three other races - Pre-Nationals (191st, 23:02), Western Regional Championships (72nd, 23:33) and Roy Griak Invite (132nd, 23:38). Started Pac-10 Championships, but fell in opening quarter mile and was forced to withdraw from race with a deep gash in her forearm and slight leg injury. Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention in cross country and track and field.
2001-02: Pac-10 Qualifier (400 Hurdles, Steeple). Outdoors, stood as only conference Pac-10 Championships qualifier in both the 400 hurdles (61.51) and steeplechase (11:07.85), and ranked first and second on the team, respectively. Ran four of team's five fastest efforts in 400 hurdles ? her Pac-10 Championships debut (13th-prelim, 63.72), Montana-Weber State Triangular (first, 63.06), Washington Dual (second, 62.86) and Oregon Invitational (fourth, PR 61.51). Added another win in Linfield Icebreaker 800 (2:19.5), and ended regular season with five-second personal best in Oregon Twilight (second, 2:12.57). Made steeplechase debut in Nebraska Quad in May and scored win thanks to late charge after the last water barrier past two rivals, then ran 400 hurdles later that day (fifth, 66.42). Indoors, ranked third on team in 800 with season best from Washington Invitational (14th, 2:19.18). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention in track. In first season of varsity duty in cross country, ran five cross country races. Scored twice for Ducks - Willamette Invite (49th, 18:42) and Roy Griak Invite (188th, 23:24). Also finished top seven for team in NCAA Western Regional (12th, 25:08) and Pac-10 Champs (60th, 26:21).
2000-01: Split duty between the 800 and 400 hurdles, ranking third on squad in both. Ran 800 season best of 2:15.87 to win Linfield Icebreaker at season opener, the same meet as her 400 hurdles season best (second, 65.70). Did not compete in cross country.
1999-2000: Ran five contests in the 400 hurdles, with season best of 1:04.84 in the Oregon Twilight (second). Also ran 800 at the Oregon Preview (eighth, 2:20.92). Saw limited action in cross country.
Prep: As senior at state track meet, placed in the 1,500 (third, 4:53.16), 300 hurdles (fourth, 46.64), high jump (fourth, 4-10) and pole vault (seventh, 9-0), also competing in the 100 hurdles, long jump, 800 and 3,000. High School (Coach): St. Anthony (Tommy Duarte/Linda Richard) '99.
