Transferred to Oregon from Clackamas Community College near Portland, Ore.
BEFORE OREGON: Junior College All-American in 800 as a freshman and sophomore after winning NWACC titles, and also honored as a freshman in cross country. Broke NWAACC championships 800 record (2:15) in 2003. Team captain both seasons at Clackamas.
Prep: Competed in state meet as a sophomore in 800 and 4x100 and also in 800 as a junior. Saw limited duty as a senior due to injuries. Competed in cross country state finale as a junior. Also lettered three seasons in basketball as a guard, and was also a team captain. High School (Coach): Rex Putnam '01 (Bret Eggers).
Personal: Her grandfather Jack Thacker was a letterwinner in wrestling and football at California. Major: Exercise and Movement Science. Born Rebekah Ruth Yancoskie on May 18, 1983 in Miami, Florida.
