Returns for second season with Duck distance squad after she joined the team in in 2006-07. Attended classes at the University of Oregon in 2005-06 and trained with UO Running Club on campus, yet was still officially enrolled at Chico State University, as well as in 2004-05. As a prep, was a California state cross country championships qualifier.
2006-07: Competed unattached outdoors, and raced to a five-second 1,500m personal best. Did not compete indoors or in cross country. Personal/Season Best: Outdoors - 1,500m - 4:51.00 (PR), Oregon Preview, Eugene (3/17/07).
Before Oregon: Attended Chico State University in 2004-05 and 2005-06 but did not compete for team. A Chico State student in 2005-06, she studied at the University of Oregon as an academic exchange student. Under the guidance of UO Running Club coach and former NCAA Coach of the Year Tom Heinonen, she ran a 1,500m season best of 4:56 late in the 2006 spring season in a Willamette University meet.
Prep: Competed 2 1/2 seasons for Bishop O’Dowd High School, and ran final 1 1/2 seasons for Alameda High School. Owned prep 1,600m and 3,200m bests of 5:19 and 11:34, respectively, from her junior season. Member of state cross country team qualifiers in ’00 and ’02, and helped team to third-place finish her freshman season. Was tabbed most valuable runner on team in cross country and track and field as a junior and senior. All-league pick in cross country and in track and field (1,600m / 3,200m). Named team’s most valuable runner in 2004 and athlete of the week in 2003. Four-year letterwinner in track and once in cross country. Honor roll member.
