Returns as redshirt sophomore in 2007-08 in both cross country and track and field. Prep teammate of current Ducks Scott Wall and Galen Rupp, and was coached at Central Catholic High School by former Oregon great Alberto Salazar. Scored for Central Catholic squad in Oregon 4A state cross country meet as a freshman, sophomore and junior, and qualified for state track finale in 3,000 meters as a senior in 2005.
2006-07: Raced unattached during outdoor track season and competed in three meets in the 1,500m and 3,000m locally. Did not compete indoors. In cross country, raced once for Ducks in Pier Park Preview and stood 10th on team (42nd, 21:49). Personal/Season Bests: Outdoors ? 1,500m ? 4:05.76, Oregon Invitational, Eugene, (4/20.07). 3,000m ? 8:59.44, Oregon Preview, Eugene (3/17/07).
2005-06: Competed unattached once for Ducks in cross country in the Willamette Invitational (40th, 25:59.65) in early October. Did not race in track and field indoors and outdoors.
Prep: As a junior in fall of 2003, was #2 man for state cross country champion Central Catholic squad and took fifth overall (15:31). Was also team's #2 man as a sophomore in 2002 (15th overall, 16:06) as team placed fifth, and also scored in squad's fourth slot as a freshman (103rd overall, 17:42) as unit finished 15th overall. As senior in 2004, took seventh in 4A state 3,000m (3:58.88). Owned 5K cross country best of 15:29.
