2022-23: Indoor – established a personal best of 8.88 in the 60-meter hurdles and a season best of 14.48m/47-6.25 in the shot put during the Texas Tech Open heptathlon…finished 12th overall with 5,086 points at the Texas Tech meet…season-best clearance of 2.00m/6-6.75 in the high jump at the Cougar Classic. Outdoor – NCAA West Preliminary qualifier (javelin)…won the collegiate section of the javelin at the Mt. SAC Relays with a lifetime best of 68.27m/224-0…had a day’s best of 64.40m/211-3 during the SDSU Aztec Invitational; finished fourth…collected two points with a seventh-place effort at the Pac-12 Championships…went from ninth into scoring position on his final toss of 62.26m/204-3… also finished 12th in the decathlon (6,076 points) at the conference meet; recorded PBs of 11.21 in the 100 and 14.59m/47-10.5 in the shot put…made third-career appearance at the NCAA West Preliminary; finished 26th overall with a best of 64.17m/210-6 out of flight two.
2021-22: Indoor – finished sixth in the heptathlon at the Pac-12 Invitational with a personal-best 5,247 points…established bests of 2.02m/6-7.5 in the high jump and 3:08.26 in the 1,000 meters during the two-day competition…recorded a season-best measure of 6.85m/22-5.75 in the long jump at the Windy City Invite (Feb. 11). Outdoor – NCAA West Preliminary qualifier (javelin)…established a decathlon best of 7,327 points at the Bryan Clay Invitational; finished fifth in the ‘A’ section…aided by PBs in the 400 meters (53.21), 1500 meters (5:06.69) and long jump (7.13m/23-4.75) at the Bryan Clay meet…runner-up at the Pac-12 Championships with 7,124 points; finished top three in five of 10 events including top marks in the pole vault and long jump…carded a season best in the javelin of 62.76m/205-11 at the conference meet…finished ninth, individually, in the Pac-12 high jump (2.00m/6-6.75)…ended the year with a day’s best of 60.28m/197-9 out of flight one of three at the NCAA West Preliminary.
2020-21: Indoor – scored 5,175 points in first collegiate heptathlon and finished in seventh place at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 29-30) … individually, finished second in the high jump (1.95m/6-4.75) and shot put (14.35m/47-1) … two weeks later at the Tyson Invitational, established indoor PRs of 9.03 in the 60-meter hurdles and 6.88m/22-7 in the long jump. Outdoor – NCAA West Preliminary qualifier (javelin) … opened the season with a lifetime-best clearance of 4.90m/16-0.75 in the pole vault at the SDSU Aztec Invitational (March 27) … after a first-round toss of 62.96m/206-6, got the javelin out to 63.07m/206-11 on final attempt during the Hayward Premiere (April 3) … had a season’s best of 13.91m/45-7.75 in the shot put at the Oregon Relays … scored 6,745 points in first collegiate decathlon to finish seventh at the Pac-12 Championships … in the penultimate event, unleashed a new PR of 63.95m/209-10 in the javelin … finished 17th overall in the javelin at the NCAA West Preliminary (May 29) with a best of 63.40m/208-0 during the second round.
Before Oregon: Silver medalist in the decathlon at the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships…scored 6,627 points at the international meet…runner-up at the 2019 USATF U20 Championships…recorded a personal best of 7,077 points to win the decathlon at the 2019 TSSAA (D-I Large) Championships…twice was a runner-up at the TSSAA AAA Championships…three-time Tennessee state indoor champion…was sixth at the 2017 New Balance Nationals meet as a freshman.
