Team’s top returnee from 2003 in shot put (42-7), and also ranked second in discus (128-4) and hammer (147-4). Former Montana state champion in both the shot put and discus.
2002-03: Team’s top freshman addition to throws, and ranked second on squad in shot put (42-7), fourth in discus (129-4) and fifth in hammer (147-4). Overall, competed in 15 events outdoors (shot put 5, discus 5, hammer 5). Threw shot put season in Oregon Invite (eighth, 42-7) and one of two +40-foot efforts (the other in the Oregon Preview (40-4 3/4). At Stanford Invitational in March, claimed season bests in discus (27th, 129-4) and hammer (30th, 147-4). Indoors, led Ducks in shot put with second best throw of freshman campaign in Washington Preview in mid-January (third, 42-6 1/4). Also ranked fourth on squad in weight throw with heave from Bodybuilding.com Invite (ninth, 46-6 3/4).
Prep: State champion as senior in 2002 in shot put (42-7 1/4) and discus (126-7). Placed sixth as sophomore in discus (114-0) and shot put (eighth, 34-0). Three-year letterwinner in track, and team captain and MVP as senior. School record-holder in the shot put. Four-year soccer letterwinner at forward and team captain in 2002, and helped program to fourth-place state finish. Midland Roundtable Athlete in track and field. Valedictorian and National Honor Society member. High School (Coach): Billings ?02 (Stacey Fancher).
