Continues to mature into one of team's top 5,000-10,000 specialists as she's added endurance and speed every season. Did not compete her final two prep seasons which she spent in India and joined Duck distance corps as a freshman walk-on in 2001-02 and redshirted. Could race 5,000 or 10,000 at Pac-10 Championships in May. Ranks third among Duck returnees in the 5,000 (17:25.33) and 21st in the Pac-10 based on 2004 season bests.Has raced in UO's top five consistently the past two cross country seasons, including six races in the squad's second and third slots.
Fall 2004: Tapped strong summer of training to run in team’s top five in all six cross country meets, including UO’s top three the first three races. Placed second on team in Pre-NCAA Invite (136th, 22:32), third in Pier Park Preview (fifth, 19:04) and Roy Griak Invite (80th, 22:53), fourth in Pac-10 Champs (56th, 2:46) and fifth in West Regional (90th, 22:37). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
2003-04: Pac-10 Qualifier (5,000). Stepped up to 5,000 distance for first time and her current personal best came in late April's Oregon Invitational (first, 17:25.33). Three weeks later in mid-May, again ran 12 1/-2 lap distance in Pac-10 Champs (14th, 18:18.79) after she ranked 25th in the league the week before in the regular season final rankings. Made event debut in Stanford Invitational at end of April (fourth-heat, 17:38.18). In first half of outdoor season, ran 3,000 contests in Oregon Preview (fifth, 10:17.09) and Pepsi Team Invite (eighth, 10:15.97). Indoors, turned in strong debut in 3,000 in mid-January in Husky Indoor Preview (11th, 10:08.20) that ranked her third on the team at end of campaign. Also ranked fourth on team indoors in mile with her event debut in Seattle’s Last Chance Qualifier. (24th, 5:21.93). In cross country, was arguably Oregon's most improved runner. Made first scoring appearances in collegiate career, and ran in team's third slot in West Regional (57th, 22:11) and Pac-10 Champs (31st, 23:26) debuts, and also in Willamette Invite (60th, 18:39). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
2002-03: Outdoors in 2003, competed in first three track races as a Duck (1,500-1, 3,000-1, 5,000-1). Opened year in March in Willamette Six-Way (1,500, 15th, 5:05.78), then competed in March's Oregon Preview (3,000, 4th, 10:40.31) and Aprils' Oregon Invite day section (5,000, 23rd, 18:58.88). Did not compete indoors. In fall, ran first three cross country races of her Duck career - Beaver Classic (15th, 15:02), Northwest Cross Country Classic (35th, 20:58) and Willamette Invite (90th, 19:49)
2001-02: Trained with team but did not compete as she adjusted to collegiate level training after a two-year absence from the sport.
Prep: Lettered two years in track and as a guard in basketball as a freshman and sophomore at Winward Academy in Los Angeles. Attended Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India as a junior and senior. High School: Miri Piri Academy '01.
