12:00 - M Javelin ? Oregon's Matt Adams led the first round with his daily best (203-2, 61.94m) over Duck frosh Brian Wuethrich who also had his best of the day on his first throw (199-5, 60.78m). Indiana's Jake Wiseman held the lead for one throw in the second round (203-3, 61.96m), before Washington's Rigel Wise moved into the lead on his second throw and daily best (204-6, 62.35). None of the top four improved on their final throws as Wise won over Wiseman (second, 203-3), Adams (third, 203-2) and Wuethrich (fourth, 199-5).

12:05 - W Hammer ? Oregon's Brittany Hinchcliffe led opening round with a throw of 176-5 (53.78m), with Oregon's Katie Kersh in second 166-5 (50.72m). Hinchcliffe broke school record on second try with 192-4 (58.63m), then improved to daily best of 199-2 on her third throw (60.71m). In final results, Missouri's Denise Gilmore took third with her daily best thanks to her first throw (164-1, 50.02m), as none of the top three improved in the final round. Hinchcliffe topped the former school record of Jordan Sauvage (191-4), an NCAA qualifier that season for the Ducks. Hinchcliffe was just shy of the 1999 meet record (201-6) owned by former Nebraska Olympian Melissa Price.

12:15 - W Long Jump ? UO's Lauryn Jordan led first round with a 19-0 1/4 (5.80m), with UW's Grave Vela second at 18-7 1/4 (5.67). Indiana's Zakiya Robinson moved into second place in final results on her fifth attempt with an 18-11 (5.77m). Jordan fouled her second through fourth attempts, then posted marks of 18-11 1/2 (5.78) and 19-0 1/4 (5.80) on her fifth and sixth tries. Vela tied her best of 18-7 1/4 (5.67m) on her fifth attempt. Jordan entered the meet with a Duck indoor best of 19-11 1/2 from her pentathlon in Moscow in early March.

1:00 - W Pole Vault - Washington's Kate Soma, the NCAA runner-up indoors in'05, won with a clearance of 14-0 (4.27m). The Portland native passed until the bar went to 13-1 1/2 and made her second try, then made a third attempt at 13-7 1/2 and second attempt at 14-0, before she missed three tries at a meet record 14-5 1/4 (held by former UO NCAA champion Becky Holliday, 14-3 1/4, 2003). Missouri's All-American Jennifer Bennett took second with a daily best of 12-9 1/2 that she cleared on her third try. She opened at 11-1 3/4 with a third-attempt make, followed by first-attempt conversions at 11-7 3/4 and 12-1 1/2, and a second attempt make at 12-5 1/2. Oregon sophomore Emily Enders took third with a conversion at her opening make at 12-5 1/2, then missed three tries at 12-9 1/2. Soma missed

1:25 - W Javelin ? Oregon's Roslyn Lundeen led first round (156-5, 47.69m) ahead of teammate Elisa Crumley (140-7, 42.81m). Lundeen did not improve rest of competition, with her only other legal mark on her third try (149-1, 45.46m). Crumley improved on her sixth attempt and ended second (144-9, 44.13m). In final results, Washington's Tiffany Zahn finished third with her daily best on her third throw (144-7, 44.07m) after she opened with 135-6 (41.30m), and had two other 140-foot throws on late tries (143-9 / 141-9).

1:30 - W High Jump ? UW's Sidney Brown passed at opening height (4-11 1.50m), then made opening attempts at 5-1, 5-3, 5-5 and 5-7, then missed three tries at 5-8 3/4. Oregon's Lauryn Jordan passed at 4-11 and 5-1, then made second attempts at 5-3, 5-5 and 5-7, and missed all three at 5-8 3/4 to end up second UO's Rachael (Kriz) Wallace and Missouri's Jenny Bybee tied at third with second-attempts makes at their final height of 5-5.

1:35 - M Hammer - UW's Martin Bingisser won by 1 1/2 feet with a daily best of 193-1 on his final throw over UO's Paul Etter (second, 191-6). Bingisser took the lead on his second throw (191-6, 58.37m) then improved again on his fourth throw (192-8, 58.73m). Etter logged his daily best on his first throw to take second overall (191-6, 58.39m).

1:45 - M Long Jump ? In the meet's featured event that featured three of the top six finishers from March's NCAA Indoor Championships, Oregon All-American Leonidas Watson took the lead and eventual blue ribbon on his second try (25-10 3/4 7.89m) by 4 1/2 inches over NCAA indoor champion Aarik Wilson of Indiana (second, 25-6 1/4, 7.78m). The field also featured All-America Washington frosh Norris Frederick who went first of the trio that were allocated the ninth, 10^th and 11^th positions in the 12-man field. The Seattle native Frederick opened with a 23-5 1/4 mark on his first try (7.14m) on his first try, immediately followed by Wilson's best of the day (25-6 1/4) and Watson's second-best leap (25-4 1/2,7.73m). Frederick failed to improve the rest of the meet, and his four other legal jumps were between 22-11 3/4 (7.00m) and 23-3 1/4 (7.09m). Wilson logged marks of 24-4 1/2 (7.43m) and 24-6 1/4 (7.47m) on his third and fourth attempts, fouled his second and sixth attempts, and missed his fifth try to run on the 4x100 relay. Watson had the best series of the trio with five other jumps of 24-9 1/4 or better (3^rd ? 24-10, 7.57m; 4^th, 25-1 1/4, 7.55m; 5^th 25-1 1/4, 7.65m), and a foul on his final attempt. Watson also just missed the meet record (26-0 1/4) set by former Duck Latin Berry in 1989.

2:15 - W Triple Jump ? Oregon newcomer Lauryn Jordan made her triple jump debut for the Ducks and won (40-11 3/4) by 8 1/4 inches over UW's Sidney Brown (40-3 1/2). Jordan opened the event with a 39-5 leap, and Brown responded with her daily best (40-3 1/2, 12.28m) on her first attempt. Jordan proceeded to foul her next three attempts, before she popped her daily best on her fifth try and passed her last attempt. In the final results, UO's Clarice Hayward-Lee followed in third place with her daily best on her second try (38-10 1/2, 11.85m). Jordan's mark moved her to fourth all-time for the Ducks behind Sara Jessie (42-6), Phillis McKinney (41-4 1/4) and Kim Carlisle (third, 41-0 1/2) and ahead of recent Duck Amanda Brown (40-9 1/2) and Hayward-Lee (40-8 3./4, 2004).

2:35 - W Discus ? Oregon's Brittany Hinchcliffe doubled back more than an hour after her hammer win and school record to lead the opening round of the discus (136-0 41.46m). Senior teammate Bree Fuqua moved into the lead on her second try with her daily best and eventual runner-up mark (164-7, 50.19m) that was nine inches off her personal best from late March in Missoula, Mont. (165-4). Missouri's Melanie Uher won the competition on her sixth and final attempt ? also the final throw of the competition (165-1 50.33m). Uher moved into second place on her second round throw (158-3 48.25), then improved again on her third throw (162-4 49.49m) before she took the lead at the very end.

2:40 - W 4 x 100 ? Indiana took early lead, Washington in second and Missouri and third while UO's Abildtrup made up some ground on second leg. Indiana led heading into third leg and Washington closed gap and exchange first into fourth leg, tight between with Washington and Indiana down stretch, and UW holds a one-meter lead through final leg to tape.

2:45 - M 4 x 100 - Indiana out fast, and UO's Inico made up ground late on first leg with both nearly tied going into second leg. UW, IU and UO pass nearly same going into third leg. Washington has lead going into fourth leg by 2 ? meters, Oregon's Kent makes up 2 of those meters in the last half of his anchor leg, while IU faded in final leg.

2:45 - M Shot Put - Indiana's Ryan Ketchum won by more than four feet (59-4 1/4, 18.09m) over the Missouri trio of Bill Hobson (second, 55-1), Nate Englin 9third, 54-0) and Tyler Dailey (fourth, 53-3 3/4). Oregon's Brandon Tower led the first round with his daily best that placed him fifth overall in the final results (51-10, 15.80m). Ketchum moved into the lead on his second attempt (58-1, 17.70m), then improved again on his third throw and daily best (59-4 1/4, 18.09m).

2:50 - W 1,500 ? Missouri's Amanda Bales leads first 300 in 53 seconds and splits 71.6 seconds at 400, and UO's Sarah Pearson and Mizzou's Christie Hansen third both a stride back, and the front four within 1 1/2 meters. Bales opened up 4-meter lead with a 2:26 first 800 splits. UW's Egerdahl moved into second, and closed gap on third lap, to pull up alongside Bales on homestretch and take lead with 450 meters with Bales struggling a little. Egerdahl hits 1200 meters at 3:12.72, Bales second place 3 meters back, Hansen third 20 meters back. Bales clocked at 3:29.2 at 1200 with Bales maintaining 3-meter gap, but charging a little coming into last 200. Egeradahl still looks good coming into final 100 with 5-meter lead over Bales and both finishing hard. 2:55 - M 1,500 ? Mizzou's Hampton charged out quick and Abbot loped up to second place in first 200, and Alcorn and Dalton followed in UO third and fourth single file, followed by rest of pack. Hampton led through 300 with one?meter lead with 45.6 split, Abbott followed a stride back, and Alcorn a half-stride back. Hampton splits 62.0 for first 400, with 1 1/2-meter lead on Abbot, and then pack of four just behind. Abbot crossed finish line at 1:49.7 at 700 meters with Abbott a meter back. Hampton clocked 2:05.7 at 800 in the lead then pushed a little on backstretch to a 2-meter lead. Fader moved up past Abbott with 550 to go and comes alongside Hampton on homestretch, while Mizzou's Tim O'Brien followed suit and pushes out to a 3-meter lead and 2:52.5 split with 400 to go. O'Brien had a one?meter lead at 1200 at 3:06.5. Abbott charged to lead on middle on backstretch and passed and has 3 meter lead with 200 to go. Abbott continued to stride out with 150 to go while Alcorn moves into second at 150 past O'Brien. Abbott slows a little in last 100, and Alcorn closes from 25 meters back to 5 meters at finish. Ikwuakor maintained his position through the finish with brief mid-race challenge from IU's Stephanos Ioannou from middle of track, but finished strong and took second by almost a meter over the Hoosier. 3:40 - M 100 ? Out of lane six, UO's Richard Del Rincon got out to a slight early lead with UO's Jordan Kent in lane two and UW's Davoan Spence (lane five) just behind in second. 3:40 - M Triple Jump ? Indiana's Aarik Wilson earned revenge later in the afternoon with a 2 1/2-foot win in the triple jump (53-0 3/4 , 16.17m) over UO's Leonidas Watson (second, 50-6 3/4). Wilson fouled his first two attempts, then 52-9 1/4 (6.08m) on his third attempt. He fouled his fourth effort then finished his day with leaps of (52-0 3/4, 15.87m) and (53-0 3/4, 16.17m) on his fifth and six attempts. Watson led the first round (49-8 1/4, 15.14m) then improved in the second and third rounds with leaps of 50-6 1/4 (15.40m) and 50-6 3/4 (15.41m). In the finals, he jumped (48-3 1/2, 14.72m) then passed his last two tries. Wilson missed the meet record 3 3/4 inches, owned by former Tennessee jumper John Tillman (53-5 1/2, 1987).

3:45 - W 800 ? Mizzou's Ashley Patton takes field through 29.8 first 200, with teammate Trisa Nickoley in second place a half stride back and IU's Larra Overton in third. Patton split 400 at 1:01.79, ahead of Nickoley and Overton with Nickoley challenging for lead at 500. Patton still led at 200 1:32.0 with Nickoley a stride back. In final bend, Patton had a 3-meter lead and pushing ahead. At that point, Nickoley faded a little and Overton moved to second place in final 200 and Schaaf pushed hard at end to just miss third by a meter. 3:50 - M 800 ? IU's Rodney Hollis led first 400 at 54.11 with Mayes a meter back in second, and UW's Brown in third place another meter back. Hollis still led at 600 at 1:21.8 with Mayes still a stride back. Brown challenged for second as Mayes made it a three- across race heading into homestretch. 3:49 - M Discus ? Missouri's Bobby Musil won the event by almost four feet (174-4, 53.21m) over UO sophomore Brandon Tower (second, 170-8). Tiger teammater David Borchardt led the first round (153-10, 46.90m), while the lead traded hands on the final three throws of the second round from Brandon Tower 163-5, 49.82m), to Indiana's Ryan Ketchum (170-3, 51.91m) to Musil (173-2, 52.79m). Musil improved his best in the fifth round to his winning mark, while Tower challenged with his best effort on his last throw.

3:52 - W Shot Put ? Oregon's Bree Fuqua paced first round marks (51-7 3/4 15.74m), then extended her lead with her daily best, winning mark and school record on her third throw (53-11 1/4, 16.17m). Missouri's Lindsey Markworth followed in second place with her Saturday best on her third throw (46-11, 14.30m). Fuqua's mark improved upon her school record from two weeks before that won the Montano Open in Missoula, Mont. (53-9).

3:55 - W 400 Hurdles - UO's Kasey Harwood made up stagger in first 100 and led easily in 200 and still had teammate Kayla Mellott by three meters heading into final 100 meters. Harwood struggled a little on last two hurdles and Mellott made brief attempt at lead, but Harwood won by 2 1/2 meters to move to 10^th all-time for UO in her collegiate debut (61.08). 4:00 - M 400 Hurdles ? UO's A.K. Ikwuakor got out well early in lane one, and held lead through 300. UW's Shane Charles nudged into lead with 70 to go out of lane six, but Ikwuakor closed hard in final 50 meters to win by 1 1/2 meters with a personal best. UO's Eric Mitchum trimmed a 15-meter deficit behind Charles to 5 meters at the tape to take third. UNOFFICIAL RESULTS ? A.K. Ikwuakor, UO (first, 5147). Shane Charles, UW (second, 51.84). 4:05 - W 200 ? UO's Sofie Abildtrup got out well in first 70 out of lane six and held slight edge on Indiana's Stacey Clausing next to her in lane seven. Clausing challenged the Duck senior for lead with 90 meters to go and continued to surge to win by three meters at finish.

4:05 - M 200 ? IU's Keith Heerdegen got out to slight lead in the opening 60 meters out of lane three. Teammate David Neville had lead at 100 and surged to 2-meter win.

4:15 - W 3,000 ? Harmon moved to lead early, with UW's Laura Halverson in second place and Mizzou's Valerie Lauver and Amanda Bales just behind in third and fourth. Harmon passed through 600 in 1:54 with Halvorsen a stride back and Lauver and Bales in the same place. Harmon clocked in in 2:32.7 for first 800. Harmon still held lead for next lap and split 3:11 at 1K and 3:50 at 1200. Harmon still leading at 1400 4:29 with same position . Slight wind from east to west, at this time, but barely noticeable. First mile split of 5:09. and Bales moved into lead and had a 79.6 lap split and 6:29.4 2K split. Bales led with two laps remaining with Lauver 1 1/2 strides behind, then a 10-meter gap to Harmon who had Mizzou's . who passed Harmon with 650 to go. Bales ran a 76.2 lap and still held lead heading to the bell with a 8:23 split with 400 to go, and 20 meters in front of Lauver who was up barely five meters on Harmon who had responded to the Mizzou surge and was back in third place. Bales passed 2800 at 8:58.8, 30 meters up and Harmon moved into second place with 200 to go at 9:06. Bales kicks ome hard in time of 9:., while Lauver passes Harmon with 70 to go to take second place, and Harmon followed in third place three meters back. Mizzou's Shuler took fourth another 20 meters back of Harmon.

4:30 - M 3,000 ? UW's Matt Owen led first lap through 64.2 seconds, and also led at 600 (1:38), with Logsdon in second place a half-stride back and UW's Mark Mandi in third place. Owen also led through 800 at 2:10. Holts led second pack 15-meters back, just ahead of UO freshman Scott Wall. Mandi passed Logsdon into second with a 3:16 first 1200 split, and all three separated by 1 1/2 meters. Logsdon immediately passed him back 50 meters later, while Holts and Wall moved up into their shadow 100 meters. With four laps to go, Mandi moved into lead with clock at 3:50 with Logsdon second, and Owen third and fading a little. Holts and Wall moved into third and fourth behind, while Logsdon was clocked in 4:24 first mile. With three laps, Mandi still held lead at 4:57 with Logsdon a half-stride back, and Holts just behind, and Wall another stride back. In second, Mandi split 5:30.7. The lead Logsdon passed into lead on homestretch with 900 to go and split 6:02 with 800 left. At 2,200m, Mandi was still in second place and Holts a stride back, then a 2 meter gap back to Wall in fourth place. Logsdon continued to push ahead at 2,400 and clocked 6:35.00, 15 meters ahead of Mandi 15, just ahead of Holts, and Wall another 15 meters back. Logsdon hit bell in 7:07.8, Mandi, 7:10.8, and Holts right behind, and Wall 7:14.0. Logsdon still looked good at 200 at 7:38.1, and Mandi striding out, now 8 meters in front of Holts. At Bowerman Curve with 100 left, Logsdon still looked strong, and checked out scoreboard at 7:48.48. He checked behind again with 50 to go and at finish, raised arms to win with a fairly comfortable 62-second last lap. 4:45 - W 4 x 400 ? Indiana's opening leg fights UO's Donovan for lead, while UW's opening leg was just behind at first exchange, while Indiana was third and Missouri fourth. Washington moved up to lead in first 200 on second leg to a one-meter lead on UO's Harwood with IU's secondd just behind. Harwood rallied to lead with 70 to go and handed off a meter ahead of IU which nearly bumped Oregon's just-completed leg, and UW one meters back. Missouri shot into third place after the first 100 of third leg, still 10 meters down of IU (second), which was two meters behind UO but moving up a little on Duck Sara Schaaf. Schaaf (56.6 leg) pulled away a little on final stretch to 2-meter lead over IU and got out well. IU's Cluasen anchor was down by 8 meters with 200 to go. In homestretch, Abildtrup (52.8 leg) continued to surge and was up by 15 meters at finish and IU's Clausen took second. UONOFFICIAL RESULTS ? UO (first, 3:43.10). IU (second, 3:45.02). 4:50 - M 4 x 400 - UO, IU and UW all out well with UW challenging UO for lead in first exchange, IU fading and Mizzou finishing strong. UW passed a half-step ahead into second leg with Anderson splitting 48.3 for Ducks Inico charged to lead from behind on backstretch past Husky second leg. Inico (46.1 leg) opened lead to five meters on pass to third leg A.K. Ikwuakor with UW behind almost 10 meters, and Missouri moving up on third leg, and IU challenging for third halfway through anchor leg. Ikwuakor led by 15 meters at the end of his leg as he handed off to Scherer, while Washington was comfortable in second. IU and Missouri handed off together in third place and IU shot ahead to third early. With 200 to go, Scherer (46.0 leg) was still up by 15 meters on Washington anchord and started to pull away. With 100 to go, IU was 25 meters behind UW, and Mizzou was 20 meters behind IU. Scherer led UO to win at 3:07.79. UO rewrote the meet record set in 2004 by Washington (3:09.14).
