Will serve as president of the Ducks' Student-Athlete Advisory Council in 2006-07.
2005-06: One of most experienced vaulters on one of West Coast’s top pole vault units. Closed outdoor regular season with win in Oregon Twilight (16-2 3/4). Cleared indoor season best of 16-5 1/4 in his season debut in the United Heritage Invitational (seventh, 16-5 1/4). Altogether competed in eight pole vault contests – five outdoors and three indoors. At end of season, ranked fourth on the team outdoors behind a trio of 17-foot vaulters, and third indoors on squad. Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors – Pole Vault – 4.90m (16-0 3/4), 4 occasions. Indoors – Pole Vault – 4.91m (16-1 1/4), UW Invitational, Seattle (1/29/05).
2003-2004: Regional & Pac-10 Qualifier (Pole Vault). Ended outdoor slate in regional pole vault debut, but missed chances at opening height. One of five Ducks that met the Pac-10 qualifying mark (16-4 3/4), although didn't make trip to Tucson, Ariz., due to 24-athlete roster limit. Met regional qualifying standard twice outdoors - in April’s Texas Relays (10th-tie, 16-4 3/4), and at Hayward Field in May in the Oregon Twilight (fourth, 16-5 1/2) - only 3 1/4 inches shy of his freshman personal best (16-8 3/4). At end of outdoor season, ranked 15th in Pac-10, 20th in region and 61st in NCAA based on season bests. Indoors, went 16 feet or higher in four of five appearances. Upped indoor best in scoring effort in the Mountain Pacific Championships (eighth, 16-6) - one foot, one inch higher than his preseason best (15-5). Cleared 16-0 3/4 in Bodybuilding.com Invitational (fourth) in January, and Iowa State Classic (10th) in February. Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
