One of the state's top prep distance products in recent history could run the 5,000 or 10,000 meters on the track in 2006-07. Enjoyed breakthrough collegiate cross country season as a redshirt frosh in 2005 and ran top three for team in all four of her races, and was its first finisher twice. As a prep, won the 4A Oregon state cross country and Oregon-Washington Border Clash titles as a senior in the fall of 2003.
2005-06: Did not compete in track and field outdoors or indoors. In fall, assembled an impressive cross country season against the nation’s top distance conference. Led the Ducks in her final two races of the season ? the Pre-NCAA Invitational (27th, 21:13.1) and Pac-10 Championships (13th, 21:25) ? and was tabbed an All-Pac-10 Second Team choice for her finish in the latter race. Missed season finale, the NCAA West Regional, because of a non-running injury. In the first half of the season, ranked second on unit in Willamette Invitational (sixth, 17:17) and third on team in Pier Park Preview (third, 18:50).
2004-05: Redshirted outdoor and indoor track seasons as she returned from injuries in the fall and winter. Competed once unattached outdoors locally in mid-April in Pepsi Team Invitational Mini-Meet 3,000m (first, 10:09.03). In cross country, ran first two races of season before injuries forced her to miss rest of campaign. Ranked second on squad and overall in Pier Park Preview (18:25) in Portland in early September. Also stood second on team in Roy Griak Invite at end of September (68th, 22:40).
Prep: As a senior, won the state 2003 state 4A cross country title by a seven-second margin (18:03), while her squad took seventh. In previous state harrier finales, she took 14th as a junior (19:22) and 24th as a freshman (20:01). Twice ran the Oregon-Washington Border Clash and won as a senior (16:00.65) and took 20th as a junior (17:13). On the track as a junior in 2003, she placed top three as a junior in the state 4A 1,500m (third, 4:36.76) and 3,000m (third, 10:00.38), and at season's end ranked top-five in the combined state rankings in the 1,500m (fourth, 4:36.76) and 3,000m (third, 10:00.38). As a sophomore in 2002 she also placed ninth in the state 1,500m (4:52.09). Won 1,500m district title as a junior, while team won district track and field crown her freshman season.
