2006: All-America candidate successfully petitioned the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility due to medical hardship. Arguably the best offensive player in school history who already ranks first in career game-winning goals (13), assists (14) and shots (173) and second in goals (22) and points (58). Needs 10 goals and 12 points to pass Chalise Baysa (1998-01) for first in both categories. Also simple to illustrate the difference she makes for Oregon. Since her career began in 2001, Oregon is 26-27-3 when Garbin plays and 5-28-5 when she has been benched with an injury or a red card.
2005: All-Pac-10 second team honoree set a school single-season record with 10 goals, seven of which were game-winners, another single-season mark. Started all 19 games in her first varsity action since 2003. Led the Ducks with 21 points (10G, 1A), which ranked second on the UO single-season list, and shots with 61 (fourth on the single-season list). Scored the game winning goal in Oregon’s first two games of the season, converting penalty kicks against Eastern Washington (1-0 win) and Louisiana State (2-0 win) to earn co-offensive MVP honors of the Oregon Classic. Scored the first golden goal of her career (and sixth in school history) to lead Oregon past Portland State 2-1 in overtime. Recorded only multi-goal game of the season in a 2-0 win at Elon. Followed that with a first half goal at North Carolina State that stood up as the Ducks beat an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent for the first time ever. Netted another game-winner in a 2-1 decision against Nevada. Named to the UniWyo shootout all-tournament team for her performances against Nevada and Wyoming (1-0 win). Scored a late goal in a 4-2 loss at Arizona. Had a goal and an assist in wild, 4-2 loss at Oregon State. Helped the Ducks make school history again with her goal in the 36th minute at Washington. Her score stood up as Oregon beat the Huskies for the first time ever (1-0). Ranked tied for third in the Pac-10 in game-winning goals with 7, tied for sixth in goals with 10, 10th in points with 22 and tied for sixth in shots with 61.
2004: Suffered right knee injury (anterior cruciate ligament, lateral meniscus) during the spring and missed the season for the second time in her Oregon career.
2003: Named all-Pac-10 second team and topped the league in shots per game with a 3.68 average. Established school single season records with eight assists and 22 points (6G, 8A). Tied the school season record for shots (70). Led the Ducks in assists, shots, points and shots on goal (29), and ranked second in goals (7) and game-winning goals (2). Tallied scores in wins over Oregon State, Sacramento State (2), and Boise State. Ended year with a pair of goals in 3-2 overtime loss to No. 2 UCLA. Career-best five points with the two goals and an assist at Sacramento State. Set up both goals in Oregon’s 2-0 defeat of California, the Ducks’ first ever win over the Golden Bears. Added assists in victories over Oregon State and Arizona.
2002: Redshirted season after she suffered a left knee injury (anterior cruciate ligament, medial and lateral meniscus) in preseason practice in late August.
2001: Made an immediate impact her freshman year, ranking second on the team with 15 points (5G, 5A). Set a UO freshman record with 42 shots. In the first seven games of her collegiate career, she established a school season-record with four game-winning goals, helping Oregon to a 5-1-1 start. In her first collegiate game, scored the Ducks’ lone goal in a 1-0 win over Gonzaga at Pape’ Field. Scored two goals in a 5-2 win at San Jose State. In the next game, had one goal and an assist in a 2-1 home win over Nevada. Followed that with a score versus Eastern Washington. Finished season on a strong note with an assist in a 1-1 a tie at Washington and another in a 4-0 rout of Washington State.
High School: Voted the Female Prep Athlete of the Year by the Honolulu-Star Bulletin. Received 17 out of 19 votes for player of the year from an independent panel of soccer coaches and officials. Won 188 of 190 possible points from the panel as the No. 1 attacker in the state. Made spectacular headers for both of Baldwin’s goals in a 2-0 victory over Mililani in the state championship game and scored four goals in another state tournament game. Four-time player of the year in the Maui league, two years playing sweeper and two as a midfielder. MIL girl’s basketball player of the year as a senior. Baldwin’s all-time leading scorer in soccer.
