Two-time Pac-10 scorer in the heptahlon and a three-time Pac-10 All-Academic selection. Hard work yielded a breakout performance at the 2009 Pac-10 Championships, followed by a career effort in a fifth-place finish at the 2010 league meet. Multi-sport letterwinner for Sherman High School.
2009-10: Outdoors - Set four personal bests on the first day of the Pac-10 heptathlon to finish fifth with a career-best 5,061 points and help Oregon win the league title for the second year in a row. PRs included 15.03 in the 100 meter hurdles, 5.35/1.61m in the high jump, 33-7.5/10.25m in the shot put and 26.24 in the 200 meters. It was the first time scoring over 5,000 points. Wrapped senior season by running a PR in the preliminaries of the Pac-10 800 meters (2:14.46). Threw a personal-best 129-10/39.57m in the javelin at the Oregon Relays. First heptathlon of the season was a 15th place finish in the top division at the Mt. SAC/California Invitatioal Combined Events (4,699). Closed that competiton on a high note with a sixth-place finish in the javelin (121-0/36.88m) and a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters (2:18.46). Also had a PR at the time in the shot put (31-8.5/9.66m) at Mt. SAC. Scored a couple of points for the team at the Pepsi Team Invitational with a seventh place finish in the javelin. Established a PR in the 100 meter hurdles (15.29) at the Oregon Preview. Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention. Indoors - Saw action at the UW Indoor Preview and the Husky Classic in preparation for the pentathlon at the MPSF meet, where she set a personal best, 3,456 points, in a ninth-place finish. Had pentathlon bests in the 60 meter hurdles (9.34) and 800 meters (2:17.10) during that competition. Season Bests: Outdoors - Heptathlon - 5,061 points (PR), Pac-10 Championships, Berkeley, Calif. (5/8-9/10). Indoors - Pentathlon - 3,456 points (PR), MPSF Championships, Seattle, Wash. (2/26/10).
2008-09: Breakout season saw her score in the heptathlon at the conference meet as the Ducks won the Pac-10 title for the first time since 1992. Was one of three Ducks to score in the heptathlon at the Pac-10 Championships. Indoors, scored a personal-best 3,396 points in the pentathlon at the UW Indoor Invitational, which was just a few points out of the UO top five. Outdoors, improved in every heptathlon. Opened season by finishing third at the Big Green in the Desert (4,744 points). Topped that in a second-place finish at the Oregon Relays with 4,858 points, a 114-point improvement. Used a big finish in the 800 meters (fourth, 2:15.43) to set another PR and finish eighth at the Pac-10 Championships with 4,881 points. Also competed in the non-heptathlon 800 meters at the Pac-10 Championships. Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention. 2007-08: One of three Pac-10 heptathlon competitors for the Ducks. Busy spring saw her compete in six meets, including three heptathlons. Improved her PR in the heptathlon each time out. First multi-competition was the Sacramento State Invitational where she was seventh with 4,529 points. Recorded 185-point improvement on that mark with a 4,696 effort at the Mt. SAC Relays in April. Then went over 4,700 points for the first time at the Pac-10 championships (4,720). Also competed for Oregon at the Oregon Preview, the Pepsi Team Invite and the Oregon Relays. Indoors, set a PR in the pentathlon with score of 3,279 points at the UW Indoor Invitational. Pac-10 all-academic second team. Season Bests: Outdoors - Heptathlon - 4,720 points, Pac-10 Championships, Tempe, Ariz. (5/8-9/08). Indoors - Pentathlon - 3,279 points, UW Indoor Invitational, Seattle, Wash. (2/1-2/08).
2006-07: Took 10th in Pac-10 Championships heptathlon - the nation’s top multi-event league - and finished two places better than her pre-meet ranking. At season’s end, ranked second on the team in the heptathlon and 100 meter hurdles, third in the long jump, and fifth in the 400 meter hurdles and javelin. Indoors, scored in the Mountain Pacific Championships pentathlon with a personal best. Season Bests: Outdoors - Heptathlon - 4,450 points, Pac-10 Championships, Stanford, Calif. (5/5-6/07). Indoors - Pentathlon - 3,215 points, Mountain Pacific Championships, Seattle, Wash. (2/22-23/07).
Prep: Won Oregon 2A state titles as senior in the 4x400 meter relay and high jump, and as a junior in the 800 meters and 4x400 meter relay. Among her other 13 state appearances, she placed top-five in the 800 meters as a senior (second) and sophomore (third), in the 400 meters as a junior (third), sophomore (second) and freshman (fourth), in long jump as a senior (fifth), and high jump as a junior (third). Four-year letterwinner in track, volleyball (setter) and basketball (point guard). Played on state runner-up basketball and volleyball teams in 2004. Valedictorian of senior class. National Honor Society member and Scholar Athlete Award winner.
