One of Ducks' top javelin additions in 2005, and could add duty in shot put. Was a four-time Oregon 3A state scorer as a prep, including a three-time, top-three javelin finisher.
Prep: As a senior in 2004, recorded fourth-longest javelin throw in state with his personal best and won the 3A state finale (194-6), where he also scored points in the shot put (second, 55-6 3/4), and competed in the discus (19th, 118-11). Wrapped up senior season with appearance in Golden West Invitational in javelin (sixth, 183-8). As a junior in 2003, was the state 3A runner-up in the javelin (182-3), and just missed scoring honors in the discus (ninth, 140-0). Competed in the 4A ranks as a sophomore before North Bend changed classifications and scored first state points in the javelin (third, 176-2). Was also a four-year letterwinner on the gridiron as a lineman. High School: North Bend.
