Is one of several Duck hammer returnees in 2006-07 that will take aim at the regional standard of 182-5.
2005-06: Topped 165 feet in all five of his outdoor appearances in the hammer. Also competed in weight throw in three indoor contests. Personal/Season Bests: Outdoors - Hammer - 51.75m (169-9), Oregon Preview, Eugene, Ore. (3/18/06); Indoors - Weight Throw - 15.93m (52-3.25), UW Invite, Seattle, Wash. (1/28/06).
2004-05: Redshirted. Competed unattached for Ducks in hammer in three home meets, and topped +160 feet in the Oregon Preview (seventh, 169-1) and Oregon Twilight (third, 164-10). Personal/Seasonal Best: Hammer - 51.54m (169-1) (PR), Oregon Preview, Eugene, Ore. (3/19/05).
Before Oregon: Competed at Linfield College two seasons and threw a then-personal best of 148-0 in the hammer. Placed 10th (42.05m, 137-11) in the NWC Championship meet in 2004.
Prep: Owned high school shot put and discus bests of 51-10 and 148-0, and was a first-team all-conference tackle in football in central Oregon’s Intermountain Conference. Was a three-sport, and 11-time letterwinner in football, basketball, and track. High School: Bend ‘02.
