Capped Duck career as a six-time All-American and seven-time NCAA qualifier in the indoor and outdoor high hurdles. Was tabbed as Oregon's 2005-06 Pac-10 Conference medal honoree for its men's all-sport category. Is the outdoor school record holder in 110m hurdles (13.38, 2004) and fifth all-time in the Pac-10. Improved his indoor school record as a senior in the 60 hurdles by .02 seconds to 7.67. Also ranked 10th all-time outdoors for UO in the 400m hurdles (51.27, 2004). Attracted initial attention on national stage as a sophomore in the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a sophomore in 2004, and lowered the school 110 hurdles record by .39 seconds with his NCAA runner-up effort, and also claimed the Oregon indoor 60 hurdles record that season (7.69). 2005-06: All-American (110 Hurdles/60 Hurdles): Staked his third top-five NCAA Outdoor Championships finish in the 110 hurdles (fifth, 13.58), and also broke 13.70 in the semis (13.58) and prelims (13.62). In other stops in the championship run, won his third Pac-10 and West Regional titles (13.52 / 13.56), and also ran in the USA Championships for the third straight season (28th-p, 14.18). Also scored for Ducks in Pac-10 Championships in 400m hurdles (51.99). Indoors, placed a best-ever third place in the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60 hurdles (7.71) - and was only .04 seconds off his school record from the week before (7.67 - Iowa State Qualifier). Also stood second on team in the 200 meters indoors (21.85) and was only .19 seconds from UO's indoor top-five list. Capped outdoor season ranked 15th in the U.S. and 37th in the world in the 110 hurdles based on outdoor season bests. Altogether won nine of his 14 high hurdles outdoors, and ran 13.83 or faster in 13 of them. Indoors, won six of his 11 contests in the 60 hurdles and ran 7.84 or better in 10 of them - with two of his last four sub-7.70. Claimed second, top-four NCAA finish in 110 hurdles (fourth, 13.53) after he led the semifinals (13.62) and ranked fourth in the prelims (13.76). Added wins in the NCAA West Regional (13.65, 13.66-p) and Pac-10 Championships (13.59, 13.69-p). Helped team to its second Pac-10 Championships team victory in three years with extra points in the 400 hurdles (sixth, 51.47). At end of season, made second USA Championships appearance in 110 hurdles (16th-semi, 13.92; 13.75-p). Altogether, ran 110 hurdles in 11 contests and all were 13.92 or faster, including four wins. In Olympic Trials, advanced to the semifinal (seventh-heat, 14th-overall semifinals, 13.53), after he ran the preliminary (ninth-overall, 13.67 w:-0.8) and quarterfinal (14th-overall, 13.67 w:-1.1) rounds. Was NCAA 110 hurdles runner-up thanks to a .15-second school record in final (13.38 w:1.2). Qualified for NCAA finale with a West Regional triumph (first, 13.72, w:0.4), that was preceded by a Pac-10 individual title (13.62, w:0.6). Also scored Pac-10 points in the 400 hurdles with .20-second personal best (fifth, 51.27). Overall, competed in 16 short hurdle races outdoors, including 10 faster than his preseason best (13.75). Ended outdoor slate ranked first in the Pac-10 and region and second in the NCAA based on season bests. Ended 2004 ranked 13th in U.S. and tied for 24th in the world in the 110 hurdles. Indoors, claimed All-America honors in NCAA indoor debut in 60 hurdles in his second-fastest time ever (sixth, 7.74). In NCAA prelims, won heat with a .09-second personal best and school record (second, 7.69). During season, ranked ninth nationally with his previous school record and personal best (7.78c) from the Florida Fast Times 55 hurdles (first, 7.26, 7.78c (+.52)). In his month-long indoor campaign, he bettered the NCAA provisional mark of 7.95 in all 10 of his outings, and scored five wins and three runner-up finishes. Missed spot on Pan Am junior squad by one place and .06 seconds in USA Junior Championships (third, 13.81, w:-0.4).
