2008-09: High jumped four time outdoors and twice indoors. Set a personal best with a clearance at 6-9.5/2.07m to finish third against UCLA and help the Ducks win that meet. Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention. Season Bests: Outdoors - High Jump - 6-9.5/2.07m (PR), UCLA Dual, Eugene, Ore. (4/18/09).
2007-08: Had Oregon’s best high jump clearance at 6-9, a personal best which was the mark that won the indoor Husky Classic. Placed fourth at the MPSF indoor championships with a clearance of 6-8.25. Outdoors, has three second place finishes (Oregon Preview, Pepsi Team Invite, Oregon Twilight) and was fourth at the Oregon Relays. Cleared outdoor best 6-7.5 three times (Oregon Preview, Pepsi Team Invite, Oregon Relays). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. Season Bests: Outdoors - High Jump - 6-7.5, Oregon Preview, Eugene, Ore. (3/22/08); Pepsi Team Invite, Eugene, Ore. (4/5/08); Oregon Relays, Eugene, Ore. (4/25/08). Indoors - High Jump - 6-9 (PR), Husky Classic, Seattle, Wash. (2/16/08).
2006-07: Entered season with outdoor high jump personal best of 6-5 1/2 and bettered or equaled that mark in his first three meets of the season. Claimed highest finish outdoors in Pepsi Team Invitational thanks to his two-inch personal best (fourth, 6-7.5). Overall, ranked second on team outdoors in high jump (6-7.5) and first indoors (6-6.75). Scored for team in indoor finale against many of the West Coast’s top high jumpers in the Mountain Pacific Championships (eighth). Altogether, competed in five high jump events outdoors and three events indoors. Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. Season Bests: Outdoors – High Jump - 6-7.5 (PR), Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/7/07). Indoors - High Jump - 6-6.75, Husky Collegiate, Seattle, Wash. (2/10/07).
2005-06: Ranked fourth on team outdoors in high jump with season best of 6-5.5 - only a half-inch off his prep best. Altogether, competed in five outdoor contests. Did not compete indoors for UO. Season Bests: Outdoors – High Jump – 6-5.5, Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/8/06).
Prep: Won 3A high jump state title in 2005 for Creswell High School (6-2). As a senior, tied for fifth in the state rankings for all classes with his personal best as senior (6-6) and stood fifth as a junior (6-5). Also placed in state meet in high jump as a junior (ninth, 6-2) and sophomore (13th-tie, 5-8). Competed in long jump and 400 meters and owned bests of 22-3 and 58.5. Lettered two seasons in cross country and won team’s Most Inspirational Athlete Award as a senior. Also lettered one season in basketball. Off the track, received National Honor Society, Honor Roll, Who’s Who, Army Scholar-Athlete, Sky-Em League All-Academic Team and Creswell High School Boy of the Year honors in 2005.
