Two-time Pac-10 scorer returns as Oregon’s top discus thrower. Has placed in the top 10 in the discus in the Pac-10 Championships the past three seasons. Also a two-time NCAA Regional qualifier. Threw two of her top three marks ever in the championship meets of 2007.
2008-09: NCAA Championships qualifier and a Pac-10 scorer in the discus. Outoors - Saved her best season for last, making her first NCAA Championships appearance, finishing as the runner-up at the Pac-10 Championships and setting an 11-foot PR as a senior. Finished first or second in the discus five times, inlcuding the Oregon Preview (164-0/49.99m) where she won with her first PR of the season. Also won at the Pepsi Team Invitational (160-11/49.05m). Hit another PR at the Oregon Twilight (165-11/50.58m). Huge PR at the Pacific-10 Championships, where she threw the discus 170-4/51.92m to finish as the Pac-10 runner-up. Effort moved her to No. 8 all-time at Oregon. Followed that with another strong performance at the NCAA West Regional, where her mark of 166-11/50.89m gave her the fifth and final automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. Placed 14th in her first NCAA meet with a throw of 163-6/49.85m. Pac-10 all-academic second team. Season Bests: Outdoors - Discus - 170-4/51.92m, Pac-10 Championships, Eugene, Ore. (5/17/09).
2007-08: Pac-10 scorer in the discus and an NCAA Regional qualifier in the event. Placed seventh in the discus at the Pac-10 Championships with a throw of 156-5. After a slow start to the spring, came on in May where she won the discus at the Oregon Twilight (159-10; a season best) and the Western Oregon Twilight (155-10). That led into the Pac-10 meet, and then the NCAA West Regional, where she threw 155-4 to finish 11th. Indoors, competed in the weight throw twice with a best of 48-7.25. USTFCCCA All-Academic first team. Pac-10 All-Academic second team. Season Bests: Outdoors - Discus - 159-10, Oregon Twilight, Eugene, Ore. (5/9/08); Indoors - Weight Throw - 48-7.25, UW Indoor Invitational, Seattle, Wash. (2/2/08).
2006-07: Pac-10 scorer in the discus. Placed eighth in the event in the Pac-10 Championships, two places better than her pre-meet seeding. Improved upon her pre-season personal best six times in 2007. Made collegiate debut in hammer and ranked third on team. Did not compete indoors. Season Bests: Outdoors - Discus - 162-3 (PR), Pac-10 Championships, Stanford, Calif. (5/12/07); Hammer - 142-10 (PR), Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/7/07).
2005-06: Was one of two Ducks that finished top-10 in the Pac-10 Championships discus (10th), six spots higher than her seed. Redshirted indoors. Season Bests: Outdoors - Discus - 144-11, Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/8/06).
Prep: Won PIL league title in discus as a junior in 2004. Owns school record (125-0).
Personal: Educational studies major with a minor in special education.
