Pac-10 scorer in the hammer is Oregon’s top returning thrower in the event. NCAA Regional qualifier ranks sixth all-time in the event at the University with her personal-best throw of 184-3. Claimed U.S. junior runner-up honor in hammer as a freshman, and placed 10th in the same meet as a prep senior in 2005.
2008-09: Pac-10 scorer and NCAA Regional qualifier in the hammer. Outdoors - Concentrated on the hammer. Was third in the event at the Stanford Invitational (180-1/54.88m) and second at the Pepsi Team Invitational (176-8/53.86m). Stepped up at the end of the year with a season-best toss of 182-3/55.56m at the Pac-10 Championships to finish sixth and help the Ducks win the team title. Then went 181-4/55.28m to wrap the year with a 12th place finish at the NCAA West Regional. Indoors - Competed in the weight throw four times. Season-best 56-4.75/17.19m came at the New Balance Invitational. Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention. Season Bests: Outdoors - Hammer - 182-3/55.56m, Pac-10 Championships, Eugene, Ore. (5/17/09). 2007-08: Pac-10 scorer and NCAA West Regional qualifier in the hammer. Scored points for Oregon at the Pac-10 meet, where the Ducks had their highest finish in 12 years. Threw personal-best 184-3 at the Pac-10 Championships to place eighth. That throw moved her to sixth all-time at Oregon. Won the hammer at the Pepsi Team Invitational (176-9). Threw 179-10 at the Oregon Relays before her PR at the Pac-10 meet. Indoor best of 57-0 in the weight throw at the UW Indoor Invitational ranks fifth all-time at UO. 2006-07: NCAA West Regional qualifier in the hammer. Placed ninth in the Pac-10 Championships hammer, four places better than her pre-meet seeding in the nation’s top hammer league. Posted three of her top four marks as a sophomore at Hayward Field in the Pepsi Team Invitational, Oregon Twilight and Oregon Invitational. Indoors, joined UO’s all-time list in fifth position with personal best in season debut in the weight throw in the UW Invitational. Season Bests: Outdoors - Hammer - 179-6, Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/7/07). Indoors - Weight Throw - 56-3.25, UW Invitational, Seattle, Wash. (1/27/07).
2005-06: USA Junior Championships qualifier in the hammer. Claimed runner-up finish in hammer in USA Junior Championships (170-2) a month after she made her Pac-10 Championships (14th, 165-11) and West Regional debuts. Altogether, competed in hammer in nine outdoor contests, and topped her preseason best (169-10) in five of the last seven. Indoors, competed in weight throw once. Season Bests: Outdoors - Hammer - 181-2, Western Oregon Twilight, Monmouth, Ore. (4/28/06). Indoors - Weight Throw - 49-4.24, Mountain Pacific Championships, Seattle, Wash. (2/25/06).
Prep: All-American. As a senior in 2005, ranked third nationally among preps in the hammer (169-10). Capped her final campaign with appearances in the USA
Outdoor Junior Championships (10th, 153-2) and Nike Team National Championships (third, 155-4). In May, opened month with a then-national leader (161-2). As a junior in 2004, stood eighth nationally among preps (150-10). Four-year Honor Roll member. Wendy’s Heisman Award state finalist.
