One of several Duck distance runners experienced at the national level. An NCAA outdoor qualifier in the 10,000 meters in 2007, she clocked the season’s fastest time nationally by a freshman (33:54.65), a time that ranks her seventh all-time for UO. As a prep, was a two-time top-20 Foot Locker Championships finisher and Midwest Regional champion. At the state level, was a cross country champion and two-time track runner-up.
2008-09: Did not compete.
2007-08: Redshirted the track seasons. In the fall, was one of the top harriers on the nation’s most improved team. Stood third on the cross country squad in her only appearance of the fall against a national-caliber field in the Bill Dellinger Invitational, where she placed eighth overall, spurring the Ducks to the team title. Pac-10 Cross Country All-Academic honorable mention.
2006-07: NCAA qualifier in the 10,000 meters. Outdoors, was the top freshman finisher in the NCAA 10,000 meters (12th, 34:01.09). Was a Pac-10 scorer in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. In March, ran a strong NCAA provisional time in the Stanford Invitational 10,000 meters, her event debut (33:54.65) that was team’s fastest mark since 1996 and seventh all-time at the University. Indoors, ran personal-best 16:31.71 5,000 meters at the MPSF Championships. Season Bests: Outdoors - 5,000 Meters - 16:42.78 (PR), Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/7/07); 10,000 Meters - 33:54.55 (PR), Stanford Invitational, Stanford, Calif. (3/30/07). Indoors - 3,000 Meters - 9:44.70 (PR), UW Invitational, Seattle, Wash. (2/10/07); 5,000 Meters - 16:31.71 (PR), MPSF Championships, Seattle, Wash. (2/23/07).
Prep: Ran away with Colorado state cross country title as senior and placed fourth as a junior. On the track as a senior, she placed second in the state in both the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters. Also finished top-five in the state 3,200 meters as a junior (fourth) and sophomore (fifth). Honor student. .
