Was a five-time Oregon 2A state championships qualifier combined in the shot put and discus from 2003-05. Attended University of Oregon in 2005-06 and Lane CC, and won NWAACC league title in the discus with a season best (125-6) less than a foot off her prep best.
2005-06: Attended UO full-time as a freshman, and also was simultaneously enrolled full-time at Lane Community College during spring term and competed for Lane CC. Won NWAACC league discus title with season best (125-6).
Prep: Placed top-10 in 2005 Oregon 2A state championships as a senior (discus, second, 126-1; shot put, 10th, 32-6) and also competed as a junior (discus, seventh, 109-7) and sophomore (11th, 96-4). Won district discus title as a senior and was runner-up as a sophomore and junior. Four-year letterwinner in track. Also lettered two seasons in cross country and in basketball at guard. National Honor Society and Leadership Committee member. Yearbook editor. Vice President of senior class. High School (Coach): Vernonia ’05 (Byron Brown).
Personal: Education major. Her cousin Windy Dean was a former NCAA javelin champion and Olympic Trials runner-up for SMU.
