Graduate student joined the Ducks in September following a solid career at Eastern Washington. Key cross country performer in the NCAA West Regional, Pac-10 and Bill Dellinger meets
2008-09: Cross Country - Placed 19th overall and was the sixth Oregon runner in 29:38.46 as Oregon won its third straight NCAA West Regional. Finished 12th overall (23:48.89) and was the sixth Duck to finish as Oregon won its third straight Pac-10 championship. Finished eighth (24:26.97) at the Dellinger meet, where he was the third Duck to cross the line in a close Oregon win. Injured during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
Before Oregon: Redshirted the 2007 cross country season. Placed eighth at the 2006 Big Sky Cross Country Championships (24:47.00) and at the EWU Invitational (26:05.10). Indoors during the spring of 2007, broke Eastern’s school record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:08.06 at the University of Washington Last Chance Meet. At the BSC Indoor Championships, finished fifth in the 3,000 meters (8:34.05) and third in the 5,000 (14:56.70). Best 5,000 came at the 2008 Husky Classic with a time of 14:03.64, which ranked him second on Eastern’s all-time list. Placed fifth at the BSC Outdoor Championships (15:28.66) in the 5,000. Had a best time in the 1,500 of 3:48.89 to rank fourth on Eastern’s all-time best list at the Ken Shannon Invitational. His fifth-place finish there earned him Big Sky Track Athlete of the Week accolades. Finished 13th at the 2008 Oregon Invitational in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:24.63. Was named Big Sky All-Academic in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field. In his first season with the cross country team in 2005, placed 13th (25:35.10) at the BSC Cross Country Championships. Placed sixth at the EWU Cross Country Invitational with a time of 26:19.80. Redshirted the 2006 indoor and outdoor seasons.
Prep: Led Tahoma High School to the 2003 SPSL championship. Finished 16th in the state at the 2003 cross country meet.
Personal: Graduate student in psychology.
