Prep: As senior at Cheyenne Central High School in Wyoming state championships, was second in the shot put (52-5.25) and fourth in the discus (161-6). Prep bests were 53-6 in the shot put and 162-7 in the discus. Helped Cheyenne Central win the track indoor title in 2006 and the outdoor crown in 2007. Also a three-year letterwinner in football and a member of the state champion team in 2005.
